The Silence is Deadly campaign was launched at Belconnen High School on December 5, 2012. The campaign aims to reduce the stigma associated with seeking help amongst young men.
The campaign is run by Menslink, in partnership with the Canberra Raiders and funded by the ACT Government. It involves Raiders’ players and Menslink staff visiting schools to talk with young men about getting help and answering any questions they may have.
The key message to the young men is that we all have problems at times in our lives – even first grade football stars – but talking and getting help gets you through them faster.
